Detecting Air Con Leaks on Your Vehicle

Use the syringe to pull up the dye, make sure there are no air bubbles.

Connect the one-sided valve, hose and low side coupler.

Make sure that everything is fastened thightly.

Fasten the coupler on the low side fitting on the vehicle and inject the dye.

Make sure to cover the service port with a cloth to catch the dye residue when disconnecting the hose.

Continue to run the AC System for 10 – 15 minutes to circulate the dye.

Turn off the vehicle engine, Put on the glasses and use the UV light.

Leaks will show with a bright florescent glow.

After all the leaks are fixed, clean up the dye residue with the dye cleaner and reinspect.

For smaller leaks, operate the AC System as much as possible over the 24 – 48 hours.

Reinspect with the light and clean again with the dye cleaner.
